Boise’s Blonde Bombshell, Minerva Jayne, has been a staple of the entertainment community in Boise for over 20 years. Whether gracing stages in countless productions, including paying homage to the great Mae West in a 2020 production of “The Drag,” emceeing events ranging from outdoor festivals to charity galas, doing stand-up comedy, including tours with America’s Got Talent alum, Vicki Barbolak, or through her writing, Minerva Jayne brings her own sense of style, humor, and joie de vivre to all that she does. Voted 2020’s “Best Local Idaho Writer,” you can currently read her advice column, “Minerva’s Breakdown: Advice for Those on the Verge,” in the Boise Weekly, where she doles out sassy, compassionate, and practical opinions on a variety of topics, including education around sexuality, gender identity, and social issues. In 2018, Minerva Jayne created the Minerva Authenticity Endowment (MAE) Fund, which provides funding to assist trans and non-binary people pay for costs with name changes and other financial needs.
