Matthew James Babcock
Matthew James Babcock is a Professor of English at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. His debut fiction collection, Four Tales of Troubled Love, was published by Harvard Square Editions in 2019. His follow-up fiction collection, Future Perfect, is forthcoming from Engine Books. His debut essay collection, Heterodoxologies, was recently published by Educe Press, and his two poetry collections–Points of Reference and Strange Terrain–were released from Folded Word and Mad Hat Press. Strange Terrain received the AML Poetry Award in 2017. His other awards include the Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Award ($5,000), the Juxtaprose Poetry Award ($500), and the Lucidity Magazine Poetry Award ($1.00). His critical study, Private Fire: Robert Francis’s Ecopoetry and Prose, is available from the University of Delaware Press.
