Kelsi loves to write what she calls “good looking melodies” or “ear candy.” “Like eating a warm buttery biscuit..but for your ears.” Kelsi Midnight is an American singer & songwriter. Born in SoCal & raised in Idaho, she was immersed in performing & recording from a young age. She grew up with talented & accomplished musician parents who fostered a creative environment where her apparent gifts could flourish. Kelsi & her sister Caiti performed from 2013-2016 as the duo NickNervous (hailing from dad’s 80’s rock n roll band “NickNervous & The Breakdown”) & she gained some industry accolades & attention when her original song “A Ghost” won first place in the (most competitive) category of “Best Indie Americana” in the Unsigned Only International Songwriting Competition. Judges included Alt J, Kool & The Gang, The Killers, Rolling Stone editor Anthony DeCurtis, Shirley Halperin of Bilboard, etc. Some of her original songs have been featured on documentary “Tempest Storm”, PBS’s “Road Trip Nation” & MTV show “Teen Mom” to name a few. Kelsi’s witty sense of humor often shows up in her cleverly crafted lyrics. That, mixed with her vulnerable authenticity is largely what sets her apart from other artists. In 2019, Kelsi & her husband, known as Ricky Midnight, formed the “Midnight World” which consists of 3 artists; Kelsi Midnight, all aspects created by her & co-engineered/produced with her dad, Greg Fadness. Ricky Midnight, all music produced by himself, & Mdnite, the duo, where they combine their musical sensibilities and create together. Kelsi is thrilled to be opening the door to her musical world with a Christmas song called “Christmas at Home,” out December 7th, 2021, followed by her single “Stuck In Hawaii” in January of 2022. The song is a depiction of coming out of her own wave of “pandemic depression" & into internal contentment, peace, & joy. It will be followed by multiple singles & an album that’s been loved & labored over throughout the past year. She plans to travel the world sharing her music..& in her own words “I believe the possibilities are endless.”
