Jyo Japonica (she/they) has been performing since 2018, harnessing drag as an empowering medium by which to channel their intersectional Japanese + transfeminine identities. Beyond the fabulous glitz and glamor, Jyo seeks to bring intentional heart-centered connection and compassion to their drag sphere. Since her official debut at The Balcony's Virgin Show, Jyo has performed a diversity of numbers exploring themes such as queer joy, anime, trans sisterhood, and BDSM. At Dragfort's inaugural 2019 kiki ball, Jyo won Best in Show in the runway category.
