Heather Meuleman is a Boise-based artist performing folk songs and murder ballads that study Idaho’s past, the complicated nature of relationships, and the lessons she’s learned along the way. Heather is a founding member of Jackalope Saints (PDX) and currently plays fiddle and sings songs with The Pan Handles (BOI). She’s opened for national touring acts across the northwest including Joe Pug, Hot Buttered Rum, Layla McCalla, Sierra Hull, Tony Furtado, Shook Twins, and The Talbott Brothers.
She picked up her first violin at 3 by way of parental guidance in her hometown outside Nashville, TN and has carried her passion for musical expression with her over decades and several state lines. Heather grew up singing in her local church choir and is a recovering classical violinist.
Heather released her debut solo album ‘Ditch the Map’ in September 2019. ‘Ditch the Map’ is a collection of love stories, murder ballads, and tales of the American West wrapped in bright melodies and rich instrumental swells brought to life by her immensely talented band mates, The Pan Handles, and a handful of special guests. Heather Meuleman’s debut album release comes on the heels of dozens of album credits supporting records from artists across the NW and countless nights closing down bars with her rippin’ fiddle.
