Between 2010 and 2020, the population of Ada County grew by 26%, making it one of the fastest-growing communities in the nation. That meant more traffic, more expensive housing — and rapid and dramatic changes in Boise’s food scene. Four journalists working in three media have worked to tell the stories of those changes and answer important questions about what they mean, from the growing community of restaurants with owners and operators of color, to labor issues precipitated by the pandemic.
