Challenging Stereotypes through Dialogue: The Human Library

Challenging Stereotypes through Dialogue: The Human Library

Boise, ID

About

Learn about the Human Library, a unique approach to creating safe spaces for difficult conversations. This is an introduction to the event on Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28, during which “readers” can check out human “books” and spend time asking questions and getting to know individuals beyond labels. The Meridian Library District and Ada Community Library will introduce just a few of the “books,” who will share chapters of their stories and explore why this approach has the potential to challenge prejudice and reduce discrimination.
