Growing up, Amber Daley spent most of her time immersed in story — whether that meant reading one or writing her own. Long before “she-sheds” were cool, she built a lamp-lit fortress of books in her closet, later attempted to create her own DIY wallpaper-and-duct-tape-bound versions, spent her teen years writing angsty poetry and embarrassing journal entries, and dreamed of one day landing on the New York Times Best Seller list.

After several exploratory career stints in adulthood that included working for a software company, at a multimedia production agency, and in an art gallery, she returned to her love for story and began writing for local and national publications. Bylines in glossy magazines didn’t get her on any best seller lists, but they did open doors to other opportunities — namely, introductions to organizations around the globe that often struggled to tell their stories via then-emerging online platforms. Seeing content’s imminent emergence onto the digital scene, she shifted her storytelling focus to copywriting, blogging, and social media.

She now owns Pixel Press Content, Ink., where she specializes in content ideation and strategy, content creation and curation, social media management, and one-on-one consulting. Over the years, her clients have included Micron Technology and other innovators in tech, pioneers in the solar technology industry, and world-renowned artists. Currently, she works with a handful of local and regional brands, including Boise-based startup Wevorce. Most recently, she joined SMHeuristics as the company’s Director of Communications.
