Hundreds of volunteers, artists, comedians, filmmakers, techies, yogis, and bands come together every year to make Treefort amazing.
Want to get involved? Here’s how!
Treefort would not be as special as it is without our rad volunteer superstars. From the volunteers helping out in the artist lounge to the volunteers sorting recycling near Main Stage, every Treefort volunteer is important to us.
We have a new system this year. When you register, you’ll need to choose your top three desired volunteer teams. Although this doesn’t guarantee you’ll get on a team, we’ll do our best to make sure you’re happy! There’s also an option to choose “put me anywhere” if you are looking for an adventure.
Volunteers will pay a $30 registration fee and receive a 5-day GA wristband and one-of-a-kind t-shirt designed by Treefort Art Director James Lloyd. A deposit to cover the cost of the wristband, refundable after volunteers complete their volunteer duties, is required upon signing up for volunteer shifts on March 1. Most volunteers have three 5-hour shifts during the festival, or less for those working Green Team or late-late-night shifts.
Apprenticeships with Treefort Music Fest are higher-level volunteer positions that provide you with venue management and event production experience, and networking opportunities to help you achieve your career goals. This position involves 3-4 months of meetings and trainings, and working throughout the duration of the festival in your chosen field.
Want to get more involved? Look no further. We’re looking for a marketing intern and a social media intern. Please send a cover letter, resume, and any additional materials to email@example.com.
If you are a musical artist, filmmaker, yogi, or comedian, you can submit your work to Treefort for a chance to be in the spotlight at Treefort 2018!
All accepted artists will receive a minimum of $50 cash (additional travel reimbursement negotiable), 5-day festival wristbands for each band member ($185 value per wristband), access to Treefort Artist Hospitality Lounge (pimp!), three guest list spots to the specific show that you play, loads of eternal glory, plus other perks like free drinks, food, bag of goodies and more.
Confirmed talent for Treefort Music Fest may be asked to not play any other Boise area (100 mile radius) shows in March 2018 and to not announce any other Boise area shows in April 2018 and beyond until after your set at the festival. We are open to exceptions to this request, but ask that they are discussed with us before confirming your appearance.
Submissions close on December 18, 2017.
Attention fine artists! We are accepting existing artwork to be displayed at Treefort Gallery 2018. Treefort Gallery is an pop-up gallery run by artists with great attention to adequate lighting, proper spacing, and professional display. Each artist will display during the festival gallery hours on March 21-25. The exhibition will be juried and will select regional and local entries of all mediums. Interactive and non-traditional works are encouraged but not required. Submissions close on January 15.
