MARCH 22 - 24, 2019

Yogafort is 3 days of classes set to live music, as global instructors and musicians mix with the local community to ignite the heart and soul of our unique, intimate yoga festival experience. This is your place to center and let us anchor you among the unparalleled community and energy of Treefort Music Fest. For a great write up about Treefort 2018, check out this article by Uproxx, and this video recap from last year captures a sense of the magic Yogafort offers.

Yogafort is a passion project to bring the joy I feel while traveling and attending yoga festivals to my hometown of Boise! I want everyone to experience the magic and radiant love of a well-curated lineup of diverse yoga practices all set to live music ~ creating an elevated, inclusive vibe like no other.

“Love is the strongest medicine. It is more powerful than electricity.” – Neem Karoli Baba

I commit myself to Yogafort because I love my hometown of Boise, Idaho + Treefort Music Fest + Dance, Yoga and Live music! Getting all those things together with amazing talent and spirits from across the world is my pure bliss state, and I am committed to offering it to everyone in an inclusive, accessible, and affordable way.

“Get down with your bad self!” – Momma Bolin

I’m a dancer on a mission to empower all beings to love their best lives, embrace their individuality, and find confidence though movement and self-expression. Yogafort is just that. A safe environment where you can find that sweet release amid other beautiful unicorns just trying to do the same thing.

“If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love anybody else?”- RuPaul

Yogafort is a way I remind myself that I am part of something bigger, a community. It’s easy to feel separate from each other in the busy-ness of day to day, but through events like this, we remember that we are all connected, and as Ram Dass said, “We’re all just walking each other home.”

“You are the sky – everything else, it’s just the weather.” – Pema Chodron

Yogafort is my favorite time of year in Boise. Three days of diverse yoga and movement are the best gift anyone could ask for! The energy of the space is full of love and and acceptance, one where anyone can thrive. Yogafort is truly magical.

“When you become the image of your own imagination, it’s the most powerful thing you could ever do.” -RuPaul

I love yoga, music + community. I love Yogafort because it encompasses all of this so perfectly.

“Nothing is forever. Everything is impermanent. It is this impermanence, which makes our lives so special.”

Really connecting to my body through movement keeps me closer to being my best self. Yogafort is such a safe, unique environment for cultivating your relationship with yourself, and the relationship we all have with the communities we’re a part of. It is so special to me!

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”- Lao Tzu

How hard are the classes?
The classes are open to all levels and abilities. Many of our experiences can be enjoyed while sitting and involve no movement such as kirtans, yoga nidra, and meditation.

Can I attend even if I don’t have a Yogafort ticket?
Yes, all Treefort pass holders can attend class, as space is available. It is recommended to show up at least 15 minutes before a class is scheduled to start.

Can I teach at Yogafort?
Yes! Submit to teach here. Deadline is December 17th!

Where is Yogafort?
Yogafort is at JUMP on the 6th floor, in the Pioneer Room. In case you’ve had your eyes closed for the past year, it’s that really big building on 9th Street between Front and Myrtle Streets, across from Bodo on 8th.

Where do I park?
You can pay to park in the JUMP parking garage. On-street parking in the surrounding areas is free outside of metered spots. Biking is a really great way to enjoy Treefort Music Fest.

Can I leave the festival and come back?
Yes, absolutely, as long as you have your Yogafort or Treefort wristband you can come and go as you please.

I’ve never taken yoga before. Can I go to Yogafort?
Yes! Please be our guest – we welcome you! Try out a class, have fun and experience something new!

What kind of classes are at Yogafort?
Yoga, dance, kirtan (chanting), yoga nidra, and meditation classes.

Where can I find the schedule?
This years lineup is going to be full of amazingness with some of the best local teachers, favorites from Yogafort’s of past, and some new surprises. The lineup will be released in early March but our artists and instructors will be on our site soon. You can check out past lineups here.

How many classes should I take?
Like, can I take all of the classes? There are approximately 5 classes a day. You can certainly camp out at Yogafort all 3 days, or simply enjoy one class a day as a reset. How many you take is up to you, space allowing.

What do I wear?
Wear layers and clothes you feel good moving in.

Will food and/or drinks be available for purchase?
We hope to have some snacks and beverages offered on site in 2019. If not, visit the JUMP lobby or feel free to bring your own!

Can I save a spot for my friend?
Yes, if they have a Yogafort ticket or Treefort pass and there is space.

Will they make me say Om and other weird yoga stuff?
Absolutely. And you can opt out of anything at anytime.

Where else are the Yogafort classes/crossovers?
Yogafort usually has crossover events with Storyfort and Kidfort, and perhaps Hackfort in 2019. More information can be found as the schedule is released.
