YOGA + STORY = MYTHOLOGY OF YOGA

Each yoga pose tells a story, rooted in a deep history and tradition. Yogafort and Storyfort for an interactive yoga workshop at Sage Yoga & Wellness, as three talented, storytellin’ yoga instructors take you on a journey of iconic poses and the origin stories that built them.

The leading production company in building hand-crafted animation and the makers of timeless movies like Coraline, Paranorman, Boxtrolls and Kubo and the Two Strings, Laika is an unparalleled company. Director of Rapid Prototype Brian McLean will be coming out to give a keynote about their use of 3D printers to create their life-like puppets.

David Ultis with Citizen Scientific Workshop and Brian McLean of Laika will be hosting a Stop-Motion Lab in which attendees will be creating a community-made stop-motion animation short film by challenging everyone who participates to fill in their own unique effects and movements in the culmination of a community-created final project. This is a family friendly workshop.

What do Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Fat Chicken have in common? Compelling adventures and two talented writers. This Hackfort and Storyfort crossover event will feature Ann Lemay (Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition) and Toiya Finley (Fat Chicken) discussing the process and techniques used in writing narration for video games. Lemay and Finley co-authored the book The Game Narrative Toolbox and their dialogue will shed light the unique world of authoring video games.
Tribute to Rosalie Sorrels: Stories and Music

Rosalie Sorrels is an American folk singer-songwriter who resides in the mountains near Boise. She’s been making music since the late 1950s’ and has made a career for herself based on her social activism and storytelling. Local writers and musicians celebrate her work in this tribute for her contributions to the music and writing community. Artists include musicians Steve Fulton, Bill Coffey and Rocci Johnson, as well as writer Rick Ardinger reading Nancy Stringfellow’s essay manuscript, “Up Grimes Creek Without a Paddle”, which is featured on Rosalie’s album Report from Grimes Creek.
