VOLUNTEER

In the last decade, 3,000+ volunteers have helped make Treefort happen. We’re looking for new and familiar faces to help out before, during, and after the festival. Schedule your shifts around your lineup favorites, work with your friends, and join our community.

Thanks for all your contributions during Treefort 2024! Applications to volunteer at Treefort 2025 will go live in October 2024.

Volunteers pay a non-refundable $30 registration fee and receive a 5-Day GA wristband and t-shirt – you’ll pick those up at our Volunteer Rally on the week of the fest.

Volunteers are required to work at least 3 shifts (estimated 15 hours) throughout the festival. At least one shift of your 3 shifts is required to be on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evening/night. Know that by volunteering, you may miss some programming, but you select your shifts and can plan accordingly with your top choices.

Under 21? You’re required to work at least 2 shifts (estimated 10 hours).

Want to help out more? Priority shift selection is available for volunteers who work 4 shifts (estimated 20 hours).

Volunteers are required to submit payment information for an $150 authorization hold on the Tuesday before the fest. If you’re not familiar, this means that $150 will appear as a pending charge on your account, and is removed by Tuesday, March 29th if you complete all your shifts. Volunteers can request to waive this authorization hold on their volunteer application. Eligibility for a hold waiver includes current status as a continuing student, previous volunteer experience at Treefort, or demonstrated financial need.

Volunteers sign up for shifts are open October 1st.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age (volunteers under 18 must join an additional training and submit parental consent)
  • We welcome volunteers from Idaho and beyond (30+ states since 2012). We are unable to provide transportation or accommodations, so be sure to plan your logistics accordingly.

We encourage folks of all backgrounds and abilities to apply to the Treefort Volunteer Program. There are a wide range of volunteer shifts during the fest that require different abilities, under the volunteer team description tab, you’ll find physical requirements listed with each team. These requirements are in place to ensure your safety, and the safety of the staff, artists, and festival-goers. If you do not meet the eligibility requirements, but still want to participate in volunteering, please contact our team and we can work with you to select shifts that match your needs.

On your application, you’ll indicate your top 3 volunteer team choices. These choices won’t guarantee a spot on your desired team, but we do our best to find the team you want. You’ll be assigned to your volunteer team within about a week of submitting your application.
