Day 3: Main Stage Opens!

Get yourself out of bed! The sun is shining and it’s Day 3 of Treefort celebrations!! If you were in the moshpit at Thee Oh Sees last night, your feet may be aching a bit, but that’s nothing a little hair of the dog can’t cure (Neurolux has bloody marys at 12pm, along with a rockin’ Party Boyz showcase!). Get out and explore today — all forts are in full swing and Main Stage opens TODAY! Take in all the wonder – the newly opened Ranger Station, screen printed t-shirts, tons of food trucks plus we have a freakin’ neon sign (does this mean we’ve made it??)

Earthen psych rock Australian sisters Stonefield will kick off the party, followed by the surfy tunes of La Luz. Boise’s very own indie pioneers Built to Spill will shread us into the highly anticipated soul stirring sounds of Charles Bradley & His Extrordinaries.

We are stoked for our first night ever at Boise Contemporary Theater – the lineup is going to be enchanting, composer Edward Stumpp, otherworldly singer-songwriter Bijouxx, the haunting Like A Villain, the ambient soul stirring Willis Earl Beal, and the experimental creations of Christopher WIllits. Head over to The Watercooler for the raw emotions of Evaleen, garage blues Band Denyde, folk-noir funk piece Bobby Meader Music, indie punk powerhouse Sheep Among Wolves, hardcore rockers BlackCloud, strong poppers Southtowne Lanes, punk rock locals Stepbrothers, instrumental rockers Unconditional Arms, genre benders Enemies, rocknrollermainstages Weatherbox, and New Jersey indie band Prawn. Neurolux heats up with Jetski followed by Sub-pop alt rockers So Pitted, psychedelic rock n’ roll outfit Plum, have the sweatiest of times with Denver’s party band Bud Bronson & the Good Timers, ear-bending power pop band The Rich Hands, punk-flecked four piece Summer Cannibals, Nashville rocknrollers Music Band, and the explosive sounds of Diarrhea Planet.

El Korah is back to party with the space jams of Foul Weather, live-tronica four piece Gems, deep groovers Sly Moon Sutra, the funky party dance anthems of Naytronix, the blow you over sounds of Thick Business, and R&B virtuoso bassist Thundercat. Get to Linen for singer songwriter Ana Lete, Devon Rex, the raw catchy tunes of Tangerine, psychedelic singer-songwriter Cotilllon, the must-see Mothers, and the Spanish indie rockers Hinds.

Having scheduling conflicts? Check out the lineups at all the second chance shows!!

Recover from all of the amazing shows from last night and help kick-off Yogafort with a calming Opening Ceremony with Marisa Weppner, Celeste Bolin, Rainbow Eric, Dana Menlove and Christopher Willits at the Rose Room at 10:45am. Stay after for a relaxing and rejuvenating Yinlicious class with Marisa Weppner and Masood Ali Khan + Sheela Bringi ensemble to recharge from last night’s festivities. Stick around the Rose Room and warm up your dancin’ limbs with multiple classes focused around dance and movement. DJ Drez closes out the Yogafort set with his blend of hip-hop and reggae whose energizing beats will start your night off the right way.

Over the past 4 years, Alefort has represented over a dozen local breweries and craft beer stores by featuring everything from small, limited batches of specialty brews to a brewery’s mainstay beers. We’ve crammed even more (hoppi)ness in this year! Check the app for tastings, cideries, and a whole lot more with sipping alongside Foodfort’s local eats. Alefort taps off by celebrating Bittercreek’s 6 collaborative 20th anniversary beers starting at 3pm.

The inaugural year of Foodfort is here and we are layin’ down some fat eats and chill(ed) beets. Catch the first ever Foodfort event, Gems in the Gem State with Treasure Valley Coalition at The Hideout. Foodfort’s focus is to bring mouth-wateringly good local food to the masses. At 4pm “Tastes” start, bringing local grub to the hungry tummies of Treefort. Area restaurants, Albertson, Juniper, State & Lemp, Wild Plum and Modern Hotel will start this weekend off with many more to come throughout the weekend.

Filmfort moves to The Flicks today with some must-watch films. One of which, The 4th, is hilarious and fresh off its Sundance premiere. Director Andre Hyland will be in attendance for a Q & A after his film where, Jamie wants to throw a BBQ while his overbearing roommate is out of town. His roadblocks include the fuzz and truck nuts so it is sure to be a good time.

Comedyfort keeps the laughs coming at Liquid Lounge. Tonight’s hilarious show will be hosted by Brett Badostain.

Hackfort stays put at The Owyhee for the day and has a special discussion based event with Christopher Willits & Magic Sword at 4pm. The collaboration of electronic music and tech-projects from both sides is something to add to your schedule for the day.

Storyfort moves down to The Oasis for happy hour (4pm) to present Cocktail Stories: Stories of the Spirits. P.S. it include tastings of the cocktails told in the stories.
